Poor Larry Fitzgerald. I feel sorry for him. Sure he’s got the cars, the fame, and unbelievable talent; but he has no purpose. Deep down he knows that a WR is only as good as the guy throwing to him, and for the last 4 years the Cardinals have had Jack-no one lined up under center. Kevin Kolb? Matt Leinhart? Carson Palmer? What a waste of talent. It’s like buying a $1000 suit and wearing it to Red Lobster.
Do you remember the last time you watched him play? Do you remember when that was? No one can because it was likely Super Bowl XLIII which was 4 freaking years ago when he torched the Steelers D for two touchdowns for 130 yards. Arizona could have won that game; his only real mistake was scoring too fast, leaving too much time on the clock for Big Ben.
However, since then, what has he done? Larry is a straight up talent; a freakish combination of raw skill, god-given athleticism, and an intense work ethic. Ironically, the only thing that has been able to hold him back has been his own moral code; his “don’t jump ship, honor your teammates” credo is what’s preventing him from joining a winning organization. He’s caught in how own vicious catch 22; the very moral fiber that makes Larry such an intense competitor is ruining his career. What makes him great is what’s preventing from leaving. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Potentially. There’s an off chance Arizona will realize that they’re miles away from a Super Bowl, cut their losses, and trade LF and start rebuilding. Any team would be lucky to nab the guy, but who is the most likely so sign #11?
Green Bay Packers: The Packers have been decimated by injuries this year; the only thing keeping them in it is Aaron Rogers innate ability to make average players looks like all-time greats. He reminds of one of those before and after shows where they take ugly people in sweat pants and make them look hot; consider yourself the crazy aunt in tie-dye Greg Jennings.
Seattle Seahawks: Pop quiz, who’s Seattle’s best receiver? Ha! It was a trick question! They don’t have one. Sure, technically they have a leading receiver, just like every remedial class has a top student , but how threatening would that offense be with Marhshawn Lynch and Larry Fitzgerald? It’d be like a beast mode sandwich. Beast mode with extra beast mode!
Patriots: I’m not sure who needs this trade more, Larry, or Tom Brady. Just look at the numbers, Tom has played like a bag of D’s all season; the addition of #11 would instantly bolster the offence and give Brady the sorely needed weapon he so desperately deserves.
Ravens: Before everyone gets into a tizzy about how useless Joe Flacco is, just remember that last year in the playoffs he made every throw in sight and beat Manning, Brady on their own turf. Plus Larry has the nastiness and grit to fit right in in Baltimore.
Colts: Luck and Fitzgerald together? It’s a scary thought, and would satisfy both individual’s needs; Luck would a have dead-on-deep threat, and Fitz would finally have some to get him the damn rock.
